Priscilla Lopez plays Abuela Sofia, Ro’s warm and loving grandmother
who is proud of her Latin heritage, in the Disney Channel Original
Movie “Christmas Again.”

This past Broadway season, Lopez created the role of Carla in Bess
Wohl’s “Grand Horizons.” Her previous Broadway appearance was in
the Tony Award®-winning revival of “Pippin” as Berthe, the
trapeze flying Granny. She then reunited with her fellow 1972
“Pippin” alum John Rubinstein for a tour of the United States and
Japan. In Lin Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights,” she originated
the role of Camila Rosario. She appeared on Broadway in Nilo Cruz’s
Pulitzer Prize-winning “Anna in the Tropics” and received a Tony
Award as Best Featured Actress for her portrayal of Harpo Marx in “A
Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine.” In her performance as the
original Diana Morales in “A Chorus Line,” she introduced the
songs “Nothing” and “What I Did For Love,” earning an OBIE
Award and a Tony Nomination.

Her Broadway credits include “The Sisters Rosensweig,” “Nine the
Musical,” “The Boyfriend,” “Lysistrata,” “Pippin”
(1972), “Company,” “Her First Roman,” “Henry Sweet Henry”
and “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Off-Broadway performances include
“Beauty of the Father,” “The Oldest Profession,”
“newyorkers,” Eric Weinberger’s “Class Mothers ’68” (Drama
Desk Nomination), “The Passion of Frida Kahlo,” “Antigone in New
York,” “Other People’s Money,” “Extremities,” “Buck”
and “Your Own Thing.” Her Los Angeles and regional theater credits
include “Irma La Douce,” “Vanities,” “Death and the
Maiden,” Matthew Lopez’s “Somewhere,” Nilo Cruz’s “Bathing
in Moonlight” and Sarah Ruhl’s “The Clean House.”

Her film credits include “Maid in Manhattan,” “Center Stage,”
